Some places we find, and some places somehow find us. Mystic Pages & Tea began as a quiet corner of the internet—a place for books, tea, spirituality, seasonal living, and the small rituals that make ordinary life feel a little more sacred.
Somewhere along the way, it became more than that. It became a place for stories. For the ones we read beneath blankets with a warm mug in our hands, and for the ones we carry quietly inside ourselves. For the seasons that change outside our windows and the seasons that change something within us. For intuition, old wisdom, creativity, healing, and the strange and beautiful ways life keeps leading us back to ourselves.
The Storyteller
Hi, I’m HN Staples, but you can call me Holly. I’m an author, poet, writer, and the creator of Mystic Pages & Tea. Writing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always been drawn to the places where words and memory meet—the stories hidden inside ordinary moments, the things we lose and find again, and the versions of ourselves we become along the way. I am the author of the forthcoming poetry collection, Each Season of Our Life, a deeply personal journey through innocence, naivety, catalyst, awakening, and becoming. Written across years of living, losing, healing, and finding my way home to myself, this collection explores the seasons we experience within—the ones that change us long before the world around us changes.
In many ways, Each Season of Our Life grew from the same soil as Mystic Pages & Tea: a love of storytelling, nature, memory, spirituality, and the belief that even the most difficult chapters of our lives can become part of something meaningful. My work is deeply rooted in the changing seasons, nostalgia, the natural and spiritual worlds, and the belief that our lives rarely unfold in straight lines. Sometimes we grow like spring, sometimes we burn like summer, sometimes we have to let go like autumn, and sometimes we enter a winter that asks us to become still long enough to hear ourselves again. I write about all of it, and more than anything, I write about the journey home to ourselves.

Mystic Pages & Tea is where my love of storytelling meets my love of the natural and spiritual worlds. Here, you’ll find reflections on seasonal living, folklore and old traditions, animal messengers, astrology, moon cycles, spiritual symbolism, weather of the soul, books, writing, and the quiet magic woven through everyday life. You may find yourself beneath an autumn tree one day and looking toward the stars the next. There will always be room here for a little mystery, and, of course, tea.
A Life in Seasons
One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that no version of ourselves is wasted. In some seasons, we know exactly where we are going; in others, we can barely see the path ahead. Some chapters we would gladly reread, and others we once wished we could tear from the story entirely. With enough distance, sometimes we begin to understand that even those pages belonged.
That idea has become part of the heartbeat of everything I create. I believe in honoring the person we were, making room for the person we are, and remaining curious about the person we are still becoming. Maybe that is why I have always loved thresholds so much—the doorway, the changing season, the first page of a new notebook, the moment just before something begins. Magic lives in not quite knowing what waits on the other side.
The Glow We Carry Forward
Mystic Pages & Tea has grown and changed since its beginning, and I hope it always does. What began as a quiet corner for the things I love has become something much more—a home for my writing, my stories, my book, and the creations I am bringing into the world. As I step into this new season as an author, this space will continue growing alongside me. There will still be tea and old stories, changing seasons, and a little bit of magic, but now there will also be glimpses behind the pages, reflections from the writing life, and stories that find their way from my hands into yours.
Pour yourself something warm. Wander through the archives. Stay awhile. Whether you arrived here searching for meaning, inspiration, a story, a little magic, or simply somewhere quiet to land.
